INCLIMENT WEATHER Whenever Crow Creek Tribal School cancels or has an early dismissal because of weather, the Tokata Youth Center will also close for the safety of the children.
OUTER DISTRICTS Every Monday, the Tokata Youth Center travels to either Crow Creek district or Big Bend district. The Fort Thompson location (Suicide Prevention Building) does not have programming on Mondays because of this. For more information, contact Aaron at info@tokatayouthcenter.org. SCHOOL PARTICIPATION According to TYC Policy, a student that did not attend school on a particular day cannot participate in TYC Programming unless they missed school because of an excused absence.
DISCIPLINE The TYC gives it's staff the liberty to send children home as a disciplinary measure. When this does take place, the reasons are communicated to both the child and his or her parent/guardians.
ACCIDENTS Any injury that is brought to the attention of a TYC staff member is documented and communicated with the parent/guardians. When sickness is brought to the attention of a TYC staff member, we contact a parent/guardian.
TRANSPORTATION Diamond Willow Ministries and the Tokata Youth Center are not responsible to provide transportation to or from the youth center facility.
